Code of Conduct Disclaimer

This event is designed so that each team and its mentors will engage in a highly collaborative effort.  The goal of the event, to stimulate thinking about and developing solutions to strategies to inform Metro-North customers about availability, spacing and social distancing on each of our Metro-North trains, requires that everyone work together and communicate with one another in an open professional and ethical manner.

Participants must treat each other professionally and with courtesy and respect. Differences of opinion are expected since each participant can offer their own unique contributions and solutions to this challenge.  Differences of opinion should be expressed and responded to in a constructive manner that promotes the sharing of ideas and effective teamwork, identifying areas of agreement and divergence, and making efforts to bridge differences.

Discrimination or harassment of any kind is prohibited. This includes evaluating an individual’s or team’s contributions based on their identity or personal characteristics, such as race, color, creed, religion, sex, ancestry, age, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, veteran status, disability, or any other criteria protected by federal or state law. Metro-North reserves the right to take immediate action in response to anyone violating this prohibition, up to and including terminating the person and/or their team’s participation in the event.
